#### ARC were successful with all full ADOPT applications for Round 8, submitted in August. This means six new projects will soon be starting taking the total number of projects to over 20 representing a significant comittment to on-farm research over next two years.

The new successful projects include:

- Crop Measurement Circle – continuing the YEN legacy with Mark Stubbs, Colin Chappell, BOFIN and ADAS.
- On-farm Compost Demo Hub – with Sir Richard Sutton Ltd, Lincolnshire.
- Alleviating soil compaction with Aeropods – with Dan Jolly, Oliver Pipe, NIAB and Catalyst.
- Open Decision Circles – benchmarking groups with Will Oliver, David Wheatley and Grounded Research.

#### Looking for lead farmers

We're not stopping though, we're growing the team at ARC so we can keep progressing new ideas whilst delivering an already extensive programme. The next ADOPT Facilitator Grant deadline is next Wednesday (30 September). If you have an idea you'd like to develop then get in touch. We're looking for volunteers to lead projects on

- Using natural fertilisers with Soilworx
- Testing value of improved water retention with Aquagrain, especially in potatoes and onions
- Long term weather forecasting with CatchmentAI

If you would like to get involved, please get in touch.
